Robert brings over 25 years of experience in providing exceptional audit services. Before founding Snyder & Brown, CPAs, PLLC, he spent 16 years at a prominent local accounting firm in Phoenix, Arizona, known for its expertise in nonprofit audits and engagements. Robert advanced through the ranks, becoming a principal in 2006.
In 2012, when the firm merged with a larger organization, Robert had the opportunity to join as a principal. However, he chose to forge his own path by establishing his own firm, allowing him to offer clients the personalized attention they deserve. As a hands-on auditor and accountant, Robert is dedicated to ensuring that each client receives tailored support and service.
A respected leader in Arizona’s accounting community, Robert holds a Bachelor's of Science in Accountancy from Arizona State University and maintains an active Certified Public Accountant license in good standing with the State of Arizona. He is also committed to community service, having served on the Board of Directors for both the Arc of Arizona and Dusty Boots, Inc.

Kenya Futrell became a partner in June 2026, after originally joining the firm in October 2024. She brings 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a specialized focus on internal controls, technical accounting, and multi-industry auditing. Her comprehensive audit portfolio spans across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors.
She began her professional career at KPMG, where she gained foundational insights into complex financial operations. Before advancing to her current role, Kenya served as an audit manager, overseeing diverse engagements and ensuring rigorous standards of quality and financial accuracy.
Kenya holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint Louis University and is a licensed CPA. Her diverse industry background and deep technical expertise equip her to handle your audit and technical accounting needs with the utmost care and professionalism.

Melissa Stephens joined Snyder & Brown, CPAs in 2017 as a recent graduate eager to find an ideal environment for professional growth. Starting as an audit staff member under the mentorship of Robert and Dylan, she quickly advanced to Audit Senior, where she took on her own nonprofit clients and skillfully completed audits, reviews, and compilations.
After a two year leave from the firm to work as an Accounting Manager for a local nonprofit, Melissa returned to Snyder & Brown, CPAs in an exciting new role as Firm Manager. In this capacity, she oversees the firm’s daily operations, ensuring quality internal practices while continuing to conduct nonprofit audits and grow as an auditor.
Melissa graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University, earning both a Bachelor’s and a Master of Science in Accounting. Her journey exemplifies her commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in the accounting field.
